Giga Zombies GigaBlox is a progress-bar slot dressed as a zombie shooter. Every cascade pushes a meter forward, and the checkpoints along it add oversized GigaBlox symbols, a burst of Wilds and finally free spins. The setting is an overgrown Aztec temple where a treasure hunter fights through the undead, and the music and colours lean fully into horror.
Yggdrasil released it in May 2026 on a 6×5 grid with pay-anywhere wins. It is a high-volatility game with a top win of 6,260x the bet, and the official hit frequency of about 35% tells you that small wins come regularly while the big ones are rare.

You need eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid to win. Winning symbols disappear and new ones fall in, which can create more wins from the same spin. With a hit rate of about 35%, roughly one spin in three pays something, but many of those wins are smaller than the stake.
Each cascade moves the Progress Bar forward by one step, and it resets at the start of every paid spin. The checkpoints are what make the base game exciting. After four cascades a GigaBlox symbol is added to the grid. After six, a Wild Rain of one to four Wilds drops in. Reach the end of the bar after nine cascades and free spins start.
That structure gives every winning spin a target. Two cascades feel like nothing much, four bring a GigaBlox that can fuel more wins, and the spin that reaches six often has enough momentum to keep going. It is a satisfying loop, even if most spins stop early.
GigaBlox symbols are large blocks that count as multiple symbols of the same type, which is why they matter so much in a pay-anywhere game. One big block can push a cluster past the eight-symbol line on its own.
When a spin ends without a win, one of three random Rescue Features can step in: Zombie Horde, Chaos Kingdom or Lucky GigaBlox. Each one changes the grid to try to create a win. They do not trigger often, but they soften the dry spells a little.
Four or more scatters in one base-game spin, or reaching the end of the Progress Bar, award eight free spins. Scatters also pay a small cash prize when four, five or six land.
In free spins, every spin is guaranteed to include a GigaBlox symbol, and the Progress Bar turns into a multiplier track with values from x2 up to x50. Reaching the end of the track adds eight more spins, and landing three or more scatters also retriggers eight spins. This is where the 6,260x ceiling comes into play: long cascades with a GigaBlox and a high multiplier are what produce the big results. Short rounds that never move the multiplier are common too.
The standard version returns 96%, with 94% and 90.5% versions available to casinos. That spread is wide enough to check before you start. Our RTP guide explains why it matters.
High volatility means your balance will mostly drift down in small steps between bigger events. The base game’s checkpoints help, but the free spins carry most of the value. If you are new to this kind of game, our page on high-volatility slots explains how to budget for it.
Yggdrasil’s GigaBlox mechanic appears in several of its games, so Giga Zombies will feel familiar to anyone who has played the studio’s earlier GigaBlox slots. If you want the classic tumbling multiplier formula on a similar grid, Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza is the most famous pay-anywhere slot. For more from this studio, see our Yggdrasil page.

Giga Zombies GigaBlox is a solid, intense pay-anywhere slot that rewards long cascades. The Progress Bar is the star: it makes the base game feel like it is building toward something, and the free spins multiplier track gives the bonus real upside. It is not especially original, and the high volatility will test your patience. For fans of horror themes and big swings, it delivers what it promises.
